Long eyelashes can make eyes look bigger, fuller and more attractive. However, not all of us are born with mile-long lashes. So the best choice is to apply false lashes. When done properly, it will look natural and inviting. It's a bit tricky to master if it's your first time, but after a few practices you'll get the hang of it. Note: Make sure you do you eye makeup (e.g. shadows) before apply the falsies. 1. Start off by measuring the length of the lash to fit your eye shape. 2. If strip needs to be cut to fit, snip the outer edge off with a small nail scissors. Then take both edges of the lash and bend inward to create a "C" to mold it to a curved eye shape. 3. Use a high-quality glue to glue the strip. Tip: put glue on the reverse end of a tweezer and glide it across the strip for an easy application. 4. Wait 10 seconds for the glue to set and become sticky, then aim for the base of your natural lash line (right on top of your real lashes). 5. After applying it you can do your mascara to help integrate the natural lashes with the false ones. Tip: If you see a gap showing on the eyelid between your real lashes and falsies, use a matte black eye shadow as a liner to fill in the gap and hide it. Removal tip: Soak a cotton swab in an oily makeup remover and use swab it along the lash line to loosen the glue and break down its stickiness.
I don't know what's the larger bane of my existence - putting these on and failing over and over or watching those YouTube makeup tutorials where the girl can just sort of put them on like she puts on her shoes in the morning. I need to work on this.
@ChelseaLittle You should take them out before you head to bed, so your eyes won't stand the chance of getting irritation. Plus, it's a good habit to remove all makeup before sleeping! :)
coconut oil to take makeup off period is a breeze
