Soy Sloppy Joes, Flavorful & Family-Friendly

Sometimes I feel as if, when people think of vegans or the vegan diet, they think it's all hummus, tofu, and leafy greens. And while I genuinely enjoy eating all of these things (as do many vegans), we can have fun with our food just as well as anyone else! Case in point, observe the soy 'sloppy joe', which has all the sloppiness of a standard sloppy joe without any of the cholesterol! Serve this up for your kids with a side of tater tots or cole slaw - or serve this up for yourself just because, you know, sloppy joes. ----------------------------------------- Soy Sloppy Joes 1 1/2 tablespoons light olive oil 1 medium onion, finely chopped 1 12- to 16-ounce package soy "crumbles" (I recommended GimmeLean or Smart Ground brands, which you should be able to find with the refrigerated or frozen vegetarian foods in your local grocery store.) 1 16-ounce can or jar natural pizza sauce Fresh burger buns (preferably whole-grain), as needed 1. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the onion and saute over medium heat until golden. 2. Add the soy crumbles and saute over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the pizza sauce and cook until heated through, 3 to 4 minutes. 3. Serve at once on buns, open-faced or covered.

Automotive Brake Inspection Guide
One of the most important components inside a vehicle is the braking system. A vehicle simple cannot be driven without properly functioning brakes. Aside from not be able to bring a vehicle to a controlled stop, when brakes are defective, lives are put in serious danger. This is why routine brake inspections and brake service is so vital to your safety, as well as, your vehicle's upkeep. brake pads Regular checkups and light servicing will extend the life of your braking system and keep you and your passengers protected. A little preventative maintenance and precaution truly does save lives. Continue reading and learn how properly inspect your brakes, and what professional mechanics recommend for routine brake service and maintenance. Here's a quick guide to car brake inspection: Pads Start your inspection at the brake pads. These are the softer foam-like parts that prevent your calipers from scraping against the rotors. If they are thin, they cannot do their job much longer, so replace them. For pads less than 1/8 inch in width, replace them immediately or risk damaging the brake discs. Replacing brake pads is inexpensive and quick. Discs The next area to inspect are the brake discs. Are they shiny? Are the grooves shallow and consistent? If you spot any irregularities, rough spots, abrasions, dents, or other surface damages, you need to replace them. Never replace just one disc. They should always be bought and replaced as a pair, even if the other disc is perfectly fine, so that they always operate evenly and equally. Rotors Check with your manufacturer, or the owner's manual, to determine the recommended thickness for your vehicle's brake rotors. This number will vary vehicle to vehicle. Once you know this number, you know what to check for. When looking at the thickness of your brake rotors, use a micrometer tool and measure the width. It is encouraged to have a safety margin to never cross, just to ensure the integrity of your braking system. Typically, 0.3 to 0.6 inch is the recommended margin to use for standard, modern-day vehicles. Shoes With drum brakes comes brake shoes. If your vehicle has brake shoes, be sure that the metal has not worn down to the point that the brake lining is exposed. Brake Lines Feel the coating that surrounds your vehicle's brake lines. It should be soft and rubber-like. It should not have any cracks, abrasions, or stiffness along the line anywhere. If they are stiff, take your vehicle to a licensed mechanic and have the protective rubber coating replaced. Exposed areas in the brake line can cause the metal beneath it to corrode, leading to very dangerous driving conditions and expensive repairs. Chinese brake pads manufacture Brake Fluid Brake fluid is one of the 7 or 8 fluids every vehicle needs to operate safely. Check the brake fluid level and refill if necessary. But do not skip or forget this part of the brake inspection!

How Many Cups Are in a Liter: A Complete Guide to Measuring
How many cups are in a liter? We'll answer this question and help you master accurate measurement, so you never miss a recipe again. Cooking can seem easy, especially for those who don't do it themselves. It seems like you need to read the recipe, follow a few simple instructions, and that's it. So how come so many people fail? I will tell you a secret. It is not so easy to know how many cups in a liter. You can have the best recipe in your hands and still end up with a messy kitchen and your food in a trash can. Why is that? Many things can go wrong, but today I will deal with the measurement problems. Let us paint the picture - you found a great recipe online, read the reviews, and made sure it turned out great. Unfortunately, there is an issue: the recipe lists measurements that you are not familiar with, for example, cups instead of milliliters. In such situations, the US, imperial, and metric conversion tables are helpful as they direct you and assist you with setting up the formula the correct way. Or you can choose not to participate in another conversion calculator app. Very often, recipes call for cups of water or milk. In contrast, other recipes require you to measure your liquid ingredients in milliliters and liters. How many cups in a liter? We all know that recipes require precision. We have to measure ingredients accurately if we are to be successful. In addition to a reliable kitchen scale, it would be a good idea to have a set of measuring cups. As we stated, plans regularly call for cups of milk or water. Still, there are different types of cups. Sometimes, it is safer to measure liquid ingredients in millimeters, deciliters, and liters. In general, and reasonably roughly, one liter is usually considered to be about four average cups. However, the measurement differs a bit depending on the type of cups used. Still, you can measure how many cups in a half gallon using the same theory. There are the following types of cups: 1. Metric 2. US Customary. 3. US "legal." 4. Canadian 5. Imperial 6. Japanese 7. Traditional Japanese cups It is essential to know the metric, American and British or imperial system since that is what we find today. So, here we go: 1. The metric system • In the decimal measuring standard, 1-liter equivalents 1000 mL. One measurement cup rises to 250 ml. Without much of a stretch, you can figure the number of cups in a liter: 1000/250 = 4. Therefore, there are four cups in a liter in the metric system. 2. The American system • In the United States, we depend on the purported American cup to quantify fluids. 1 US cup has a limit of 236.58 ml or 8 US liquid ounces. One liter equivalents 1000 ml or 33,814 US liquid ounces. • The math is equivalent to in the past model: 33.814/8 = 4.22675. Therefore, there are 4.22675 cups in a liter in the American system. 3. For Imperial System (UK) • We often find recipes written for the UK audience; it is logical since we share the same language. Unfortunately, we don't share the same measurement system either. The British trust the imperial system. • An imperial cup has a capacity of 284,131 mL or ten imperial fluid ounces. One liter is equal to 1000 ml or 35.1951 imperial fluid ounces. That implies the math is as per the following: 35.1951/10 = 3.51951. As should be obvious, there are 3,51951 supreme flagons in a liter in the UK framework.
Are Any of You Gluten-Free (Can You Eat in Korea?)
A lot of people message me on YouTube and Tumblr asking about dietary restrictions in Korea and to be quite honest, it can be tough. Not many people in Korea have food allergies like I am used to in the US (peanut allergies, being lactose intolerant, etc) So when non-Koreans come to Korea and start to ask for certain foods to be changed (like, please don't add carrots) because of an allergy, its uncommon so restaurants often aren't sure what to do. Recently though, there has been a movement to make vegetarianism and veganism more accepted in Korea, a country famous for its meat dishes, and as a result people are learning more about food and different diets! My friend Sunny is Korean and in her late teens she developed allergies to a ton of different things, including gluten. Because her diet because so restricted, she started cooking for herself. She then discovered a small but hungry group of gluten-free people in Korea who wanted some of the desserts she had been baking for herself. After gaining more and more popularity, she opened Sunny Bread and now serves everything from cheesecake to tiramisu to pumpkin pie, all vegan and gluten free! She also knows how hard it is to have an allergy, plus she speaks English really well, so if you go in nand talk to her about what you can and can't eat, I'm sure she'll have suggestions for where to eat in Seoul :) Here's a look at her bakery~ Do any of you have food allergies? What can't you eat?

What are the health benefits of ghee?
We all know that ghee or also known as clarified butter is a good-quality fat content. Because of its nutty smell and good quality fat-content, cow ghee is a popular and good quality oil. The benefits of ghee include its ability to effectively penetrate the cell walls of the body, and its ability to keep stored fats from turning into plaque, and even protecting skin cells from damage. Organic ghee is derived from organic fats and does not contain any synthetic chemicals, preservatives, or additives. Here are some health benefits of ghee - 1. The main fat-soluble vitamins found in ghee include vitamin A, D, E and K. Vitamin A is needed for good vision and healthy skin. Vitamin A helps improve your immunity against infectious disease, so eat it on a regular basis. Vitamin D is important for the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, two of the main vitamins that help maintain healthy bones and teeth. Vitamin K helps maintain your immune system and helps with the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect. 2. Ghee contains Omega 3 and Omega 9 essential fatty acids that are more readily absorbed by the body, giving you more energy and more nutrients. Ghee made from organic butter of pastured cows is one of the highest natural sources of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid). The saturated fats in ghee works as a filtered food. This was all a brief about what are the benefits of ghee. Ghee health benefits are wide and to experience all of them include a grass-fed ghee into your daily diet.
