Let's tell our hiking and camping secrets: What do you consider to be the worst thing you have ever put on yourself or into a backpack? Maybe it's junk, or something way too heavy that you did NOT need. I think I'd have to say my worst is the first aid kit I used to carry when I was 15-16 years old. It probably weighed 3 pounds and could definitely have handled more than 10 people for a month. Aspirin? Check, butterfly strips? Check, 50 bandaids? Check! Stitch kit? For sure! Now I have learned to stream line to this ultralight kit (see here: http://www.vingle.net/posts/676553) What are your biggest regrets?
@yakwithalan I'll never do it again! @happyrock Trust me, I KNOW!!
@happyrock If you had four people, sure. I'm guessing you were one? @fallingwater That's a common mistake these days! @treedweller yikes.
@fallingwater Oh god. That is so, so, so unnecessary (as I'm sure you know now!)
heavy cooking pans....big mistake.
I'm not going to lie, I once brought a solar powered battery charger for my phone....ouch.
