DIY Sharpie Mug
If you have great handwriting, this would be the easiest DIY mug you'll every make. Materials: Cheap ceramic mugs (doesn't have to be expensive) Oil-based Sharpie marker – I used white 1-2 Q-Tips Rubbing alcohol A pencil Instructions: 1. Ensure the mugs are fully washed and dried to remove any residue. 2. Start sketching or decorating your mug with a sharpie. 3. Dip a Q-Tip into the rubbing alcohol and carefully rub off what you don’t want. 4. Let your mugs sit for a few days before throwing them into the oven to ‘bake’ the design on them. 5. When ready, preheat your oven to 425° and bake for 35 minutes. To prevent any cracking in the mug, put the mugs on a cookie sheet and put them into the oven as soon as you turned the heat on.

Great idea! My husband needs a new office mug anyways, so I'll be customizing one with a sharpie. Thanks for sharing!

Cute idea! Except I don't like black mugs. I'll make one with a white mug and red lettering.
