This popcorn is for those who like a little heat. Cayenne pepper is known for speeding up metabolisms and encouraging weight loss while the stress is also a serious stress reliever! 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1/2 cup popcorn kernels 1 cup queso fresco, finely crumbled 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more or use less depending on spice preference) 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped 1 lime, juiced Heat oil in a large, wide pot over high heat. Add popcorn, cover, and shake often. When popping slows to a few seconds between pops, remove from heat. Evenly mist the popcorn with lime juice (we recommend using a spray bottle). Toss popcorn with queso fresco, cayenne pepper, and cilantro.
YUM. I love queso fresco. This almost reminds me of Mexican elote.
What's Mexican elote? @danidee This looks even better than the Valentine one because this isn't sweet. The spice sounds incredible.
@marshalledgar It's roasted corn on the cob that's seasoned with queso fresco, cayenne, and lime. They usually sell it on carts when you're walking around some neighborhoods. It's so good!! I make it at home on my grill sometimes.
Sounds delicious! I used to be a little afraid of cayenne, but now I've learned to love the heat!
OH! Yes, I've had elote then because my brother-in-law makes it often. That, in my opinion, is the only way to really enjoy some corn on the cob @danidee
