[31st-Jan-15] Hull City 0-3 Newcastle United
John Carver racks up his first win since taking charge of the Magpies since Alan Pardew’s departure over half a month ago as Hull drop four consecutive decisions in the Premier League for the second time this season now. Remy Cabella opened the scoring on a brilliant strike from about 20 yards out before Sammy Ameobi double the visitor’s lead in the opening 5 minutes of the second half. Gouffran would then make it 3 for the tyre-wear side as they sealed all three points against a woeful Hull who was left to rue missed chances yet again. After the match, Steve Bruce said Hull City’s mistakes cost them, but it is almost the same story as their 3-0 thumping at West Ham only a matter of 2 weeks ago. The concern is that while Jelavic returned to the squad for the first time since his injury, the Tigers still failed to capitalize on any of their 8 shots on target, nor their 53% possession. Newcastle were just more clinical in the final third and always looked more threatening going forward, an aspect that came to show in the final scoreline. With 15 games left in the season Hull City remain a point adrift still and some are wondering if they have the determination to stay in the Premier League. The Tigers problems are not likely to resolves themselves soon as Hull travel to Manchester City this weekend while Newcastle will host Stoke.

@CitySarajevo Manager doesn't have them working the way they should to be honest. Plenty of quality players on the squad but also some that need to go like Tom Huddlestone.
@CitySarajevo He took them to the top flight for only the 2nd time in their history and got them in the FA Cup Final for the first time in their history. He's a bit of a hero.
