I'm sure I'm not the only one worried about having fresh breath on Valentine's Day (or really, all the time!) so I came up with a no-fail way for natural fresh breath without any gum needed! Obviously, brushing and flossing is a must as well! 1. Peppermint Tea Peppermint is a great way to naturally freshen your breath, and a great way to consume it is in tea form! 2. Baking Soda Mix in a tsp. of baking soda into a cup of water. Swish some of this in your mouth and voila! instant mouth wash. 3. Spice it Up Chewing on the seeds of certain spices freshen up your mouth. Try seeds like cloves, cardamom, and fennel! 4. Lemon Take a lemon wedge sprinkled with a little salt and bite down. Oh, yeah. 5. Parsley Chew on a fresh sprig! If that doesn’t do the trick then consider dipping it in vinegar first.
I have also heard that eating a lot of sugar and carbs can promote bad breath
I have a baking soda based toothpaste and I've noticed that it makes a big difference ~
Chewing on fennel is actually really popular when you're on your way out of an Indian restaurant. It gets that 'curry stank' out of your mouth pretty fast.
Chewing on parsley? It doesn't work for my dog!! She always has her head in my mom's herb garden and munches on parsley. Her breath still sticks hahaha
@kristenadams HA! I actually had a cat that used to do that when I was little... as far as human breath goes I am a fan of peppermint tea as well :)
