We already know that any form of exercise is good for you. A recent study confirm that even a modest amount of regular exercise could be life saving! According to research published by Cambridge University, obese individuals who are physically active have a nearly 50% lower mortality rate than non-obese individuals who are sedentary. So exercise has a stronger impact on longevity of life than maintaining a healthy weight does. These researchers from Cambridge calculated that eliminating inactivity in Europe would cut mortality rates by nearly 7.5%! The old saying goes that we cycle to add life to our days, but we are also adding days to our lives! Even if you are overweight, that shouldn't discourage you from hopping on a bike!

Wow! This is astonishing
"The old saying goes that we cycle to add life to our days, but we are also adding days to our lives!" I couldn't have said it better!
@TeamWaffles I think you are right
@AnthonyB The two are probably correlated, but even if you are obese you will be healthier if you are exercising.
This is really interesting. I wonder why inactivity is worse than obesity.
