Lady Grey Almond Milk Waffles
Well, that was easy. I read @danidee's card on lavender extract where she mentioned making waffles and I immediately thought of how to get some earl grey in there. One quick Google search brought me to these beauties: Earl Grey Almond Milk Waffles! Earl Grey's cousin, Lady Grey tea, is arguably my favorite daily morning tea because it has the warmth of a black tea but a lightness thanks to the added lavender! I took an Earl Grey Waffle recipe and a Lavender Waffle recipe and made a franken-waffle called the Lady Grey :) INGREDIENTS: 1 2/3 cup almond milk 3 bags of earl grey tea 1/4 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs, separated 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp lavender extract 2 cups flour 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt DIRECTIONS: In a large saucepan, gently heat almond milk and add tea bags. Let cool for 30 minutes, occasionally squeezing the tea bags free of any excess milk. Once the milk is cool, remove the tea bags and add the vegetable oil. In a large bowl, beat egg yolks, lavender extract, and sugar. While the eggs and sugar are beating, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl. Alternate adding the flour mixture and the milk/oil mixture into the egg yolks, and sugar bowl, stirring after each addition. Beat the egg whites and fold gently into batter Follow the instructions on your waffle maker. Top cooked waffles with your choice of fruit or maple syrup.

I've never tried Lady Grey tea but these waffles sound sort of amazing...

I could see myself topping this with some homemade vanilla bean whipped cream. I always like the combination of Earl Grey and vanilla bean.
