For those not aware, the omega3 fatty acids in fish oil are full of nutrients and proteins that help keep a lot of health ailments at bay. Ever heard of salmon incorporating salmon in your diet? There's a reason why people say that.
How does it work for hair?
The nutrients found in fish oil help nourish the hair follicles and promote hair growth. If you're experience with hair fall this also help strengthen the hair roots.
How to use?
Unlike other oils (coconut, olive, avocado...etc), fish oil CANNOT be used for topical application. So the best way to use it is incorporating it in your diet.
1. Through food: Fish such as mackerel, herring, salmon, sardines and albacore tuna have high content of omega3 fatty acids. If you're vegetarian or vegan foods like flaxseed, walnut, soybean and tofu are great choice!
2. Fish Oil Supplements: These are readily available over the counter in health store and grocery. One thing you should be aware of is that both fish oil and fish have high level of mercury in them. Therefore be cautious on your dosage. You should consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, diabetic or at risk with LDL cholesterol.
