So being a good vegan while being a full-time college student is seriously tough work. It requires a lot of meal planning, especially when your campus cafeteria doesn't necessarily offer a lot of good vegan options - or at least, vegan options that are actually good for you and hunger-satisfying! This is where Sweet Earth Natural Foods' frozen burritos come in. I'd highly recommend this to any vegan/vegetarian students who need a quick, inexpensive, and balanced meal option between classes.
I actually found these burritos in Target when I was checking out if there was anything worthwhile going on in the vegetarian/vegan frozen section. I really liked how each one sounded so flavorful, but was also high protein, high fiber, and low in fact. (Plus, you know, they were on sale - 2 for $5.) Needless to say, I picked up the Big Sur Breakfast Burrito - a tofu scramble with potatoes and smoked seitan - and the Curry Tiger - filled with curried lentils, seitan, and vegetables. Both were seriously phenomenal and only take about 2 minutes in the microwave!
The company offers a few other burritos, but Big Sur Breakfast Burrito, the Curry Tiger Burrito, the Kyoto Burrito (filled with a gingery vegetable stir-fry of edamame, baby bok choy, azuki beans), and the Anasazi Burrito (a smokey bean, squash, and chipotle seitan burrito) are their strictly vegan offerings. They are available nationwide and offer a Store Locator on the Sweet Earth Natural Foods' official Facebook page!
