How to: Crown Braid Chignon
A style I've been spotting on brides and bridesmaids - a relaxed crown braid chignon. This wedding updo is particularly lovely because it incorporates the french and chignon. While I love the classic chignon style adding a braid gives it more dimension. If you have long hair, this is a pretty hairstyle to try.
French braid crown from one side to the other side. Take the top section of hair, tease it and pin securely creating a half up-down look. Then starting on one side of the hair take a section of hair, twist it and bring it the opposite side and pin it.
Then take the remaining “tail” from the section of hair just pinned with an additional section of hair, creating one section of hair, twist and bring it the opposite side and pin securely directly under the previous twist. Repeat the process until you are left with just the “tails”. Pin the remaining “tails” by twisting and overlapping, mimicking the overlap twist look.
Bring the braid into the back and secure with bobby pins. Making the “tail” of the braid mimic the already pinned twists. When all hair is pinned securely, gently tug at hair creating a looser more full look.

I actually like the front more than the back hairstyle.

This is really pretty. I can see a bride wearing this for her BoHo shabby-chic style wedding.
