While still not yet officially unannounced, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen specifically mentioned developer Respawn Entertainment will "probably have another Titanfall game" and (as many suspected) it could come to PlayStation 4.
"Last year it was on the Xbox only; in the future, we haven't yet announced, but we'll probably have another Titanfall game. It will probably be a bigger footprint than just a single platform. I think that's a huge positive for us."
The original Titanfall launched exclusively for Xbox consoles and PC in March 2014. It has long been rumored that the sequel, which was reportedly greenlit back in March 2014, would be a multiplatform game.
I wouldn't say I am really excited that Titanfall will be non-console exclusive on the second go, as the game was just okay. Although I am a PS4 fan, the game itself lacked a lot of content and won't be worth picking up if the creators make the same mistake twice.
@noorkhlil Well technically it's up to EA and Microsoft's agreement. If Microsoft can't make a deal with EA then they will go to other consoles, so not really Sony's fault. I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing though. Titanfall had a lot of potential, maybe a bigger player base would allow the game to become more popular
Interested to see what happens to the franchise. Huge hype, disappointment after a few weeks, and now we shall see how it will fare
