This is a great way to make your own, inexpensive hiking or trekking sticks using old graphite gold clubs! You can usually find these at garage sales or thrift stores for very little money. All you have to do is make a few modifications! The video outlines those.
Some additional tips:
- Tennis racket hand wrap stuff is awesome for making your grip more comfortable, as is bicycle grip tape!
- If you have a Golfsmith or golf store nearby, go and ask them to pull the shaft rather than cutting it. Or, buy an inexpensive head pulled on Ebay, and then use a hand held torch. Clamp the shaft in a vice, and head the head for 15-20 seconds.
Cool!! HIking pools are upwards of 100 these days so this is a great idea
Great way to use something you might already have, I would be confused about finding a good grip though
Never thought of making my own; easier than I thought it would be!
