7 Lifestyle Changes to Make You Look Younger
It's not all beauty creams and expensive serums. Here are some easy lifestyle changes that will help you turn back the clock and start looking and feeling younger!

1. Skip the Heat

Using a flat iron, curling iron, or hair dryer can get rid of that youthful bounce and shine in your hair.
Declare a two-day-a-week heat-free holiday where you give your locks a rest from heat styling tools. Try some of these no-heat styling looks for starters!

2. Lotion Your Hands

The hands are the first sign of age in women, and they need all the help they can get!
The skin on the backs of your hands is very thin, which makes it prone to aging compared to the rest of your body. Using lotion helps; pick one that contains sunscreen. Rub an SPF 30 moisturizer onto the backs of your hands every morning!

3. Avoid Foods that Stain Your Teeth

White teeth are seen as a sign of good health and youthfulness, but dark, hot, sticky foods can take that away from you. Think barbecue or soy sauce, red wine, coffee, and soda.
Along with avoid too much of these foods, invest in a good baking soda based toothpaste.

4. Keep your smartphone addiction under control

Over time, keeping your head down when you’re texting or scrolling through Facebook promotes wrinkles that ring your neck (Oh no!)
Every time you grab your phone, try to keep you face straight, like you're looking at something at eye level.

5. Use Mouthwash

If you’re already in a daily mouthwash habit, you’re on the right track. These bacteria-killing rinses flush away particles on and between teeth, while also cleaning gums.
Rinse with an alcohol-free and artificial dye-free mouthwash.

6. Eat High-Protein Foods

When you want hair that looks healthy, you’ve got to start at the basics, and that means eating an adequate amount of protein to maintain normal hair production.
Most women should eat about 46 grams of protein a day. For reference, a 3-ounce serving of salmon supplies 22 grams, while a glass of low-fat milk contains 8 grams.

7. Take Care of Wet Hair

Brushing wet hair—when strands are at their weakest—can cause breakage that leads to flyaways.
Never brush wet hair. When you get out of the shower, use a wide-toothed comb with blunt tips. Also try the t-shirt drying trick.

I actually don't even really touch my hair until it is dried. I let it air dry (or use a microfiber towel) and then brush it later in the day.

I started using lotion on my face way too late in life. I think that in your 20s is when you should think about using a night cream.
