"Atlas of Beauty" Project Shows That Beauty Is Everywhere
Artist Mihaela Noroc travelled the world to find what beauty looks like in every country. She did not want the definition of what a stereotypical beautiful woman in each region looked like, but rather just wanted to show that there was beauty in every single face she met.
Two years ago with her backpack and camera, the photographer from Romania quit her job and started a new life traveling the globe, photographing hundreds of natural women surrounded by their culture.
“The Atlas Of Beauty” is about our planet’s diversity shown through portraits of women. In her own words, her goal is to "continue and take photos of women from each country of the globe, making “The Atlas Of Beauty” a mirror of our diverse societies and an inspiration for people that try to remain authentic."
Here are a few of her photos, and you can find more information on her project on Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr. For the complete collection so far you can visit this post.

I'm sure she found beauty in every person she met, but lets be realistic here she did pick people with a fair amount of physical beauty to photograph

I feel the concept is a great idea! If she was seeking to find beauty in the average person then I wonder what average woman really has complete makeup, is dressed head to toe in authentic traditional clothing of their country out in a field, perfectly polished, not a hair or anything out of place? These ladies would never be considered average they are simply beautiful and in addition enhanced with makeup, hair do, lipstick, clothing, backgrounds, etc. All the photographers friend! And any subjects! I would like to see it with the "Actual Average Woman." There is beauty in everyone!
