so i my local boardshop is finally selling longboard items, and one of the things there selling are butterballs, should i buy them?

I've heard they're super slidely, liable to ice out on you, but they're good for bombing straight steep hills doing lots of pendys and colemans. Or if you're just learning to break grip and initiate slides they're good. I've also heard of them flat spotting, but that can be accounted for by making sure there's no slop in your set up ie using bearing spacers
it truly all depends on what type of riding you will be doing. There are better wheels for sheer speed but it's a great wheel for breaking traction and sliding.
@JoshSmith higher duros generally are I'd say
they seemed harder to control at higher speeds
i have a set. I'm still just learning to slide and i think they're awesome! great to learn on and i still bomb with them
