You're Eating These Healthy Foods All Wrong
We may know what foods are best for our health, but what about how we prepare it?

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potato fries are not the healthiest way to enjoy this super healthy, as tasty as they may be!
Boiling is a good method - just don't add tons of butter and brown sugar when you mash them. Instead, try steaming diced chunks or baking the potato whole.

Broccoli

Boiling your broccoli may be traditional, but it isn't the healthiest cooking method, as it zaps away the nutritional value. When enjoying this green veggie, lightly steam or sauté it for only a few minutes, just to slightly soften the stems and produce a bright green hue.

Beans

Canned beans are super high in sodium, so soaking and boiling your own beans is your best bet. Also be very wary of BPA - go for BPA-free beans whenever possible!

Dried Fruit

Make sure to choose dried fruits made without added sugars. Sometimes you can tell just by looking at the fruit, but if you're not sure, check the package.

Peanut Butter

If you're not mindful about which jar you choose, it might also contain added sugar, salt, and hydrogenated oils. Avoid the unnecessary fats and sugars by choosing natural peanut butter!

I tend to think that the closer to its raw, natural form, the healthier it is.
What is a good healthy peanut butter? I've been curious for good recommendations because I realized that whenever I eat my normal Jif peanut butter, it adds a ridiculous amount of fat to my RDV.
@danidee I usually go by if it has that shallow layer of oil on the top. Organic and natural :)
I really try to limit my dried fruit intake - I've recently switched to freeze dried fruit for a less sugary snack :)
