My mom and I were talking about mouthwashes and how to make them yourself. And she said something that I think ALL DIY projects should be: EASY!
Don't balk at the ingredients, there are more than a few. I promise you, this is very easy. All you have to do is mix and go. That's it. Nothing to cook. Nothing to boil. Nothing to steep or sit or whatever. Make a large batch so you only have to do this once a week. Nothing wrong with that!
1 cup mineral water
2 tsp baking soda
4 drops tea tree oil
4 drops (your choice) essential oil
1/8 tsp stevia (optional)*
1. Mix ingredients together in a closed container.
*Stevia is a natural sweetner known to be 30x stronger than regular sugar. According to research, it also inhibits the growth and spread of bacteria that causes oral decay.
As I mentioned in another card, you can easily find essential oils at supermarkets, pharmacies, and health and wellness shops.
My boyfriend uses tea tree oil for his hair and the smell is really nice but also really strong. Would the smell (or I guess, taste) be too strong for a mouth wash?

Good question @nokcha. Why not just start with 2 drops and go from there? The recipe is really flexible. That's what I love about it the most. <3
That is the cutest picture! Recipe seems simple enough.
