Here we go I have yet to watch the Champions League round of 16 ties and on a night like tonight it's a good time to. Here's an as-it-happened view of the game.
1' - We're off! Immobile has a shot from range in the opening minute and it narrowly whizzes over the bar!
6' - Tevez still can play some brilliant football. He has such skill.
7' - Paul Pogba is playing in this game. We can get a good look at him here.
10' - Really back and forth game so far. Very open. Looks set to be a cracking game.
13' - Oh dangerous here Juventus are away. Morata takes a hard angle shot on goal with Tevez trailing and the keeper fails to claim the weak shot as it comes right to Tevez's foot who SCORES! That was clinical but the keeper has to do better there.
Juventus 1-0 Dortmund
16' - Stoppage in play as the referee's radio equipment seems to be a bit dodgy at the moment.
18' - Juventus gifts possession in the attacking third and the ball is played long. Juve defender slips and that allows Reus in alone who SCORES on a comfortable finish. Really class finish there.
Juventus 1-1 Dortmund
21' - Tevez and Merata play a one-two that's close to the far post but out for a goal kick. Midfield possession has been very tiki-taka but the better possession has been Juventus's.
27' - Free kick won by Vidal in a dangerous position here. BIG chance on the far post but it's high and wide!
29' - Pogba goes for a tackle but is late and gets nothing of the ball. Vasn't vicious, but was a complete take down. Ref might keep a close eye on him now.
32' - Quite a few Juventus players going to ground way too easily. Old Lady's lost possession a few times because of it.
37' - Pirlo is hurt and is off the pitch. He's replaced by Pereyra for Juventus.
42' - Juventus have been on the back foot but are forward here. Tevez fights off a challenge to find Pogba wide who slots it for Morata who puts it towards the far post! Juventus LEAD!
Juventus 2-1 Dortmund
Juventus 2-1 Dortmund
46' - Dortmund have made a half-time change. Kirch is on for them.
48' - Vidal takes his man down from behind. He's booked and rightfully so. Dortmund with a free kick forward.
53' - Juventus forward but it's offsides. Dortmund could be caught trying to level this and throwing men forward.
56' - Dortmund in the box now and ball comes to the forward who's onsides and turns from 6 yards out but Buffon is perfectly placed to take that. Dortmund look threatening.
58' - Juventus on the break and Morata finds Pogba on the left but he takes too many touches and it's cleared away.
62' - Back and forth at the moment. Juventus has an opportunity down on the Dortmund goal but it's skied.
68' - Juventus just trying to defend now and hit Dortmund on the break. Tevez has almost been sprung one or two times already.
70' - Juventus have the ball near the Dortmund box. A pass comes in for Tevez who cracks a shot just wide!
74' - Dortmund make a change as Immobile is off. Quarter of an hour to go.
78' - Juventus again forward and again Tevez gets space for a shot but it's well marshalled out for a corner. Headed chance comes from it but it's just off target.
80' - Pereyra looses possesion then goes to ground and takes his man down from behind. He's booked as that's the second tackle from his like that.
86' - WHAT A CHANCE! Pereyra is slotted in beautifully and he takes it to the left post before cutting back a shot towards the far post that is inches from going in. Juventus could have had this tie locked down there. Still 2-1 though.
88' - Tevez is off for Juventus. Stoppage time to play.
Full Time
Juventus 2-1 Dortmund
Good game. Really open game, lots of back and forth but Juventus were better at crossing the ball and overall in terms of finishing. Dortmund will feel a little hard done but their central midfield needs to control the ball better in the 2nd leg if they're to have a chance. Quality game though.
@Spudsy2061 We shall see.
@GermanBumbleBee Juventus are very good but if Dortmund play like they did against Schalke then they should get through. :)
Disappointed we lost. We can get them at home in the next match.
