This goes out to a dear Vingler that requested some Chicago wedding venue ideas. Chicago is enormous and steeped in rich history with fabulous architecture--old and new. With so many to choose, it was hard to find the right First Card to publish, so I made a list and randomly picked The Murphy Auditorium

Homage to The Chapelle De Notre-dame de Consolation in France, the John B. Murphy Memorial Auditorium was completed in 1926. It's statuesque grandeur, in the French Renaissance style was regarded by many sturdy and masculine, and not nearly as flamboyant as the great surgeon and medical inventor the building memorial was built in honor of.

The building offers six floor plans, including a theater layout with flexibility in hosting the ceremony and the reception.

Chicago's got some incredible history. I know they give amazing architectural tours.
@daniachicago with the stone and marble, this would make for a great Tiffany location. But I've got plenty more!
Yeah, just read your note. Good stuff. @daniachicago I will post more for you and the weddings community.
Wow I am so thankful you did this for me. I love it. Expensive though. I say 100 guests. My mom says 160. <3 thank you for thinking of me @nixonwoman
Last time I was in chicago I went to the Hancock Tower. What a view!! Would be a great place for a rehearsal dinner or something low-key.
