Lately, I've been a little in love with Califia Farms' Cold Brew Iced Coffees. For about the past year, I always passed these by in the supermarket, where they are sold in two different sizes. You can traditionally find them where you would buy your half-gallons of non-dairy milk or wherever they sell ready-to-drink bottled beverages. I never really thought about giving it a shot myself until VegNews Magazine's Must-Have List back in December. Then I started giving them a harder look. Are they really that good?
Here is some information about these iced coffees that I found particularly awesome, both as a 'green' consumer and a coffee snob:

Dairy-Free, Soy-Free, Gluten-Free, GMO-Free, BPA-Free -- But Not Flavor-Free!

First, these are soy-free and gluten-free for people who are on restricted diets that still want to get their coffee buzz on. Also, every single flavor is vegan - including the Salted Caramel (which is easily my favorite one). There are no GMOs in the coffee and no BPA in the bottles too, which I think is pretty rare for bottled coffee beverages.

Califia Farms + Central American Tree Frogs = Love

Also, the coffee nerd in me was excited to find that this iced coffee is made with shade-grown coffee beans. This is important because shade-grown coffee implies that, despite being grown in a rainforest-dense region, there was no deforestation that occurred to harvest these beans. Each bottle even comes with a certified stamp from the Rainforest Alliance, a non-profit that promotes both sustainability and biodiversity among wildlife.

Flavors, Flavors, So Many Flavors!

Normally, Califia Farms offers their iced coffee in Cafe Latte, Double Espresso, Mocha, Cocoa Noir, Salted Caramel, and XX Espresso, but I have seen them come out with some great seasonal flavors too. For example, their Pumpkin Spice Latte was a serious hit in the blogosphere. (I also know that Califia Farms makes their own almond milk eggnog during the Christmas season too. I haven't tried it, but it's nice to see a brand that continues to put out more unique variations on their products.)

Delicious Cold-Brewed Coffee with Low Acidity!

Further, the coffee used in this goes through a cold brew process. This means that it is brewed in a way that greatly reduces acidity and enhances the bean's extremely clean flavor. Normally, you can buy a lot of ready-to-drink iced coffees that have been through the cold brew process. (Groundworks, for example, is one that comes to mind.) However, it is not very common to find a ready-to-drink latte that is made with cold brewed coffee, which makes this product extra cool.
Basically, if you want a super creamy bottled coffee beverage that you can feel good about, I would highly recommend Califia Farms' Cold Brew Iced Coffees. I only paid $2.50 for my 11-ounce bottle, which might sound a little costly to some of you, but when compared to those bottled Frappuccinos or Illy brand bottled drinks that are also on the market, I think you are getting a great value for a much more superior product.
With that being said, head over to Califia Farms' website to find out where you can find these coffee beverages near you.
Three cheers for no deforestation, am I right?!
I always add almond milk to my coffee! It gives it a different layer of taste than soy or rice :)
Not a vegan but sounds like something I would enjoy. I have to keep an eye out for this one at Whole Foods.
@vegantraveler I want to try the XX Espresso flavor next. It's supposed to be a little stronger.
@flymetothemoon @danidee this is the best news I've heard all week!
