Celebrity News Recipe: Lady Gaga's Dark & Spooky 'Mother Monstertini'

Lady Gaga has been having quite the week. Less than a year after the Daily Beast, among many other celebrity news outlets, ruled her career 'dead', she came back hard and with a serious vengeance. Last Sunday, she had the tongues of every skeptic-turned-fan wagging after her showstopping tribute of "The Sound of Music" - including the musical's original star, the legendary Julie Andrews! And just yesterday, the creators of the smash series "American Horror Story" announced Lady Gaga as their next leading actress after the exit of the show's award-winning star Jessica Lange.
It's a good day to be Gaga. And as a faithful fan, I've decided to dedicate the very first 'Celeb of the Week' recipe to Mother Monster herself. Made with Blavod black vodka and the goth-chic plum color of blackberry brandy, you've got a martini that's as high-fashion meets macabre as Stefani Germanotta herself.

Lady Gaga's Mother Monstertini

Ingredients:

2 1/2 ounces Blavod black vodka
1/2 ounce blackberry brandy
A plump blackberry, for garnish

Directions:

First, put on the sunglasses. If for whatever reason you don't own a pair of avant-garde and hardly practical sunglasses, just dig through your closet for something else, keeping in mind a 5:1 fashion-to-function ratio.
Next, combine the vodka and brandy in a cocktail shaker full of ice. It doesn't even have to be a cocktail shaker. Gaga would probably use something weird like a Baphomet ritual urn, but if you don't have $100 to spend on black magic kitchen accessories, I guess a cocktail shaker would do.
Shake well while counting to 15 seconds. Or don't count and just sing the chorus to "Born That Way". No one cares.
Strain the drink into a well-chilled martini glass. You could also serve this on the rocks in an old-fashioned glass, which is basically like the Tony Bennett of bar accessories.
Finally, garnish your drink with a dark juicy blackberry on the rim. For an extra 'horror story' effect, once you've put the blackberry on, move it in full circle around the brim of the glass to get some gross blackberry guts action going on. (Yeah, I know it sounds gross, but it's also freaking glamorous.)
Enjoy while sitting on a piano bench or on the lap of a guy that sort of looks like Taylor Kinney.

Mmmmhmmm blackberry guts!
I'm disappointed that Jessica Lange is leaving American Horror. while Gaga's career appears to be gaining strength, I'm a bit skeptical about her move to acting. cool recipe @beywatch tagging @NixonWoman too see this
Gaga's pose is very reminiscent of Madonna.
@NixonWoman Thanks! I thought it would be fun to start a little collection that's part recipes/part celebrity news, so I felt the need to throw in a little humor. ;)

Japanese Sake Has Amazing Benefits For Your Skin
No worries, you won't get tipsy. If you enjoy a few shots of sake every now and then, you'll be excited to know that the warm drink actually has some amazing benefits when it comes to your skin. Yes, you read that correctly. A Japanese rice wine you usually pair with your sushi can have you waking up like Beyonce. Flawless, honey. According to our favorite girl Chrissy Teigen, she informed viewers on her daytime talk show Fab Life, that the popular skincare brand SK-II's is inspired by none other than sake. While most of us are probably wide mouthed with surprise, for the Japanese, using sake for your skin has been a tradition for years. They even go as far as bathing in the wine on New Year's Day to rid themselves of evil spirits. According the SK-II's, they use an ingredient in their skincare line called pitera ["derived from a strictly controlled natural fermentation process"] which is a strain of yeast found in the sake. How amazing and interesting is that? It's becoming a trend to find skincare products that happen to be infused with this all natural ingredient and the results happen to be amazing. So, grab yourself a shot glass, throw one back and keep scrolling to see a few products that will give you the skin you've always drank -- oops, I meant dreamt of. Kate And Leo’s Friendship Of 23 Years is STRONG
Hollywood isn’t exactly known for its sentimentality – the ruthless nature of the film industry, along with the pressure of being in the public eye means that long-lasting friendships can be somewhat of a rarity. These two have bucked the trend, however, even with the added pressure of everyone willing their favorite on-screen couple to just do it already and get together romantically. “She’s such a terrific person in general that our chemistry naturally happened on screen. We just like each other as people,” -Leo The pair first met on the set of Titanic in 1996. Kate was 21 years old, with Leo just a year older. They portrayed such a perfect romance on-screen that the rumors about their relationship in real life inevitably began to flow. It never happened though, not officially at least! While receiving the award, she dedicated many kind words to Leo, who sat in the audience blowing kisses at her. “Leo, I’m so happy I can stand here and tell you how much I love you and how much I’ve loved you for 13 years…I love you with all my heart, I really do,” she said, with tears in her eyes. Meanwhile, Kate had previously chosen Leo to walk her down the aisle for her third marriage in 2012.  She has 2 children from these relationships and raising them was hard, given her tight work schedule. During these times, Leo even managed to help Kate with the children. Kate said, “I’m not going to tell you what we actually talk about, but yeah, we’re very, very close and sometimes we do quote the odd Titanic line back and forth to each other, because only we can, and we find it really funny.” May their beautiful friendship continue!!!
What do you know about the legend of moon cake of Vietnamese people?
It is said that, in the past, there was a fairy in the sky named Hang Nga, she was very beautiful and worked hard to govern a shimmering Moon. She loves children very much, so her dream is to come down to earth to play with them, but because the rules of the fairy world do not allow it. Legend of moon cake One day, Ngoc Hoang held a contest "Make cakes on the full moon day" on the full moon day of August - the day when the moon is the brightest and fullest of the year, whoever can make the most delicious, most beautiful and most fancy cakes will be honored. Reward whatever you want. Hang Nga is very interested, eager to join the contest right away. When she came to earth to consult, she met Cuoi - a man who specializes in lying, every night Cuoi gathers children under the banyan tree at the top of the village to tell gossip. In addition to "lie" talent, Cuoi is very good at cooking, he often makes cakes for the children in the village to eat, so the children love Cuoi. Hang Nga knew that was very happy and asked Cuoi to make a new kind of cake with her, so Cuoi came up with an initiative to just put all the ingredients together and bake it, which are eggs, melon seeds, meat, sesame, lotus seeds, sausages… And strangely enough, the cakes came out of the oven with a rich aroma, and the children who ate them all complimented that they were delicious, although it was not very beautiful, but it was the best cake that the children enjoyed. It was time to return to heaven, Hang Nga brought delicious unnamed cakes to heaven to compete and bid farewell to her lovely friends on earth, goodbye to the lying but talented and kind Cuoi. . But because Cuoi was attached to her and didn't want to leave her, he held her hand tightly and strangely, there was a supernatural power that pulled him and the banyan tree to the moon. Climbing up the banyan tree he could see the children playing in the world. Sometimes, when he misses home and misses his children, Cuoi can only sit and cry and be sad. As for Hang Nga, her unique cake won the first prize and was named "moon cake" by the Jade Emperor and granted her a wish. She wishes that every year on the full moon day of August, she will be able to share joy and play with children with Cuoi Canoe on earth. The wish was accepted and Ngoc Hoang named the full moon day of August "Mid-Autumn Festival" - a fun festival for children. Since then, every Mid-Autumn Festival, Ms. Hang and Uncle Cuoi come down to earth to bring joy to the children. Moon cake has since become an indispensable special dish on this day. From then on, every full moon day in August, when the moon is at its brightest and roundest, people hold a lantern procession, a dragon dance and a lion dance under the moonlight to celebrate the day Uncle Cuoi, Hang and the Rabbits came down to earth. play.
