Who doesn't want thick, voluminous and Victoria's Secret Angel-worthy hair? I know I do. However, hair can be deceiving when it comes to density and fullness. You may have a lot of hair, but it just happens to be a lot of very find thin strands. This gives off the appearance of flat and dull hair. Thankfully, there are certain tricks you can do to manipulate your hair to look fuller.
Shampoo: Using the right shampoo can really make a difference to per up your hair. Ever wonder why they have types like "curly, sleek, and volume"? I love using Bath and Body Work's Mango Mandarin Shampoo but they no longer carry it. An alternative that I use is Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate Shampoo ($14).
Conditioner: Here is the culprit for fine hair. A lot of conditioner that says "hydrating" and "smoothing" on the contain a lot of oils that will prevent your hair from gaining volume. As a result you are stuck with weight down hair. So steer away from those!

Dry Shampoo: A generous amount of this baby can give your hair the texture you always wanted. Focus on the roots! If you can stay away from spray because and use powder version instead.
Blowdrying: Here's a secret - blowdry your hair upside down for more volume! Works every time! Flip your head over and start blowdrying with a round brush. After the dampness is gone, flip the hair back over and begin to blow dry the rest in sections.
Velcro Rollers: You know why they say the old school method is always the best. Get Marilyn Monroe's signature bouncy hair by setting a few velcro roller after blow drying your hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes for fabulous volume!
Tease: The section you wan to really tease is the crown of your head. Learn more here.
Layer: The best haircut for fine hair is layering. Why? It gives you the illusion of more texture. The next time you visit your hairdresser request this!
