Kekkon Shinai Ep 3 Recap
Thanks to soula81's recommendation I started to watch this drama and now I'm complete addicted to it. I'll try to post recap as soon as the ep is out. Enjoy! Ep 3 starts with Chiharu making breakfast for Haruko and even though she said she won't oversleep again they are still late for work. At work, Chiharu's co-worker told her that she's getting married to a customer she helped at the travel agency. Chiharu is happy for her but still thinking about the conditions for marriage. Haruko's shop got an order for the opening ceremony of Grand Hills which was originally her design project. She decided to take the flowers to them. Chiharu's colleague decided that they will go to a mixer (group dating). Haruko brought the flowers to Grand Hills and met her boss. He promised he'll try to get her back to headquarter as soon as possible. At home Haruko stared at her letter of resignation. At the mixer, Chiharu just quietly eats her food so her colleagues try to lighten up the mood by suggesting that they play some games but Chiharu doesn't know any of them which darkens the mood even more. Chiharu decided to leave the party and went to another bar and met her ex whom she saw at the travel agency the other day. Haruko warned Chiharu not to get involved with married man especially when that's her ex but Chiharu assures her it's ok. Still Chiharu is impatiently waiting for her ex to call. Chiharu went to the gallery that she got ticket for from Haruko and saw Kudo there. Kudo's kouhai introduced him to an artist guy who has this stuck up attitude and seems to look down on Kudo. Chiharu saw the whole thing and went after Kudo Chiharu asked about Kudo's painting and said when he decided to draw again she'll be his #1 fan. But in the end she didn't manage to cheer him up. Chiharu was going to visit her home but got a call from her younger sister who talked about her arranged marriage and asked why she threw away such opportunity. Chiharu got a call from Keisuke (her ex) while waiting for Haruko in front of the house. Haruko came home and found Chiharu sleeping in front of the door. Chiharu met up with her ex who apologized for contacting her everyday. Keisuke said it's tough being alone and held her hand. They went to a hotel room (a really nice one with great view!) . Keisuke was about to kiss her but she found an excuse to go to the bathroom because she's too nervous. She overheard Keisuke talking to his fiancee. Chiharu came out and said let's go back. Keisuke asked if she heard him. Chiharu said that they never fought when they were dating so it's good that he can fight with his fiancee. Chiharu told him to go back and Keisuke apologized and thanked her (so typical) . Chiharu said to herself she's an idiot after he left. Chiharu met Kudo at the park and they apologized to each other about the other day. Seems like there will be something going on with Haruko and the professor of the part-timer girl. He came to the shop to buy flowers for his mother's birthday but she can't see it. Haruko told him it's feeling that matters. Haruko teared up her resignation letter. Haruko gave the house key to Chiharu who is super happy. End of ep 3 Seems like the episode always ends with Chiharu and Haruko scene. They have such great friendship! Looking forward to ep 4! I'm rooting for Chiharu x Kudo. Maybe there'll be something going for Haruko and the professor as well?
[RECAP] Kekkon Shinai Ep 5
This is not exactly as detailed as somnia's recap but more like my own review of this week's ep. I think I'm liking this drama more and more now. This week's ep seems to focus a lot on Kudo and Chiharu. Chiharu starts to develop feeling for Kudo. The topic of this week seems to be falling in love at 30's. Mariko, Chiharu's colleague, told her at 30's you have to look for the "marriageable" love which means if the guy doesn't meet the qualification then you shouldn't bother dating him because women at the age of 30's should date guys who are potential marriage candidates. I guess that's the reality. There are some truth in what she said. This drama seems to be really popular with ladies in early 30's. A lot of people have been sending messages to the broadcasting station, mostly women, saying the drama really touched them. Kudo and the part-timer girl went to Haruko's place and all 4 of them had lunch. Kudo and Chiharu look just like a couple. I definitely love the chemistry between them. Chiharu went to the flower shop and met Kouno. She sensed something going on between Kouno and Kudo. The professor seems to have a crush on Haruko. I think he's a bit too old for her? He's like over 55 and she's 44, maybe not a bad combination? It's funny that he got interrupted by the part-timer girl who is his student. But Haruko is still hung up on her boss. Haruko and Chiharu went to a garden restaurant because she designed the place and met her boss who went with his family! Haruko noticed them but the boss didn't. His wife seemed to know what's going on. Women's intuition is scary. Haruko left leaving Chiharu and the wife chased after her. She didn't say anything mean but her words have hidden meaning. Looks like she knows they had an affair. Chiharu got drunk and went to the park. She saw Kudo sitting at their usual bench sulking. Kudo told her about the painting he left at Sawai (the stuck-up gallery owner) and Chiharu said let's go get it back. They went to get back the painting and Kudo thanked her for insisting on getting it back. They are gonna be my main OTP for this drama! Looks like he starts to fall for her as well The next morning, Chiharu baked some desserts and went to visit her mother in the hospital. I really like their conversation. Chiharu asked her mom what she was doing when she was 35 and she said she was raising Chiharu who was in elementary school. Chiharu's mom said she kinda envied of Chiharu who is free to explore many possibilities in life and has nothing to stop her from doing so. Chiharu went to give Kudo some desserts as well and saw him sleeping. Sleeping Prince! She got curious about the painting and opened it. It was a portrait of Kouno that he drew in 2002! Now I wonder if the reason Kudo distanced himself from Kouno is because he isn't successful as she is? Next ep Kouno invites Kudo to go somewhere with her.
4 Mangas That Became Popular Live Action Drama
It's no surprise that manga is popular around the globe. In fact, many dramas get their inspiration from manga series. After talking to some vinglers yesterday I revisit a couple of old dramas I watched during high school and found out the original storyline was actually from popular mangas. There are anime versions of some of the series but this card will be mainly the live action adaption in different languages!
