In the build up to the return of the MLS this week, we're going to look at the best of the US's games, beginning with John Brooks's World Cup goal this past summer that beat Ghana 2-1 in the group stage. In 2010, Ghana knocked the US out in the Round of 16 After Extra Time. Four years later the two were drawn into the Group of Death.
I'll remember this for the rest of my life. I was PACKED in the pub around 6:15 to see the the US-Ghana game. I missed the Dempsey goal because I got out of work right at kick-off but then celebrated in mass as the Brooks goal sealed the 3 points that would eventually help the US through to the round of 16.
It was simply the best. If there's any doubts about if football will never be big in this country, the 2014 World Cup quashed them.

@CitySarajevo Honestly I always bounced between my love of some sports: from cricket to hockey to baseball. This game pretty much confirmed football as my favourite sport.
@CitySarajevo Ahhhhhhhh I don't want to think about it. 2018 will not see probably half the current squad and ever if it did they'd be slow and behind the pace by then. Don't really see much coming up the ranks either. More focused on the 2015 Gold Cup.
@Spudsy2061 What do you think about 2018 then?
I remember watching this at home. I couldn't stop jumping.
