Milk is an amazing diary product that is filled with vitamins A, D, and E. Besides seeing milk used for our favorite yogurt, cheesecake and smoothie, this ingredient is found in many lotions, bath mixes and cleansing milks. The high level of vitamins in milk provide a good anti-inflammatory effect and is great for soothing burns. In addition, milk also contains lactic acid which acts as a natural skin exfoliant. If you have milk sitting in your fridge this is the best time to take it out and give these milk beauty recipes a try. There's nothing to lose.

Milk Bath

3 cups whole milk (if you prefer powdered milk, use 2 cups)
5 Tbsp fresh mint leaves, chopped
½ cup Epsom salts
1 cup cornstarch
Cleopatra is known for her beautiful soft skin and bathing in milk is one of her beauty secret! Fill up your bathtub with hot water until it’s 75% full. In a separate large bowl, mix all of your ingredients together. Then, pour the liquid mixture into your bathtub and enjoy your soak for at least 20 minutes.

Nourishing Milk and Honey Facial Scrub

3 Tbsp milk (choose whole milk for drier skin)
3 Tbsp honey
1 tsp raw oatmeal, crumbled
Mix all your ingredients together to form a thick paste. Apply the mixture onto clean skin and massage for a few minutes with your fingers. Rinse the scrub with lukewarm water and a washcloth and pat dry.

Milk Facial Mask

If you got a bad sunburn a milk facial mask can soothe and hydrate your skin. Buy some milk powder and mix it with just enough water to create a paste, and then gently massage it into your face. Let it sit for about 10 minutes before rinsing. You can add essential oils (choose scents that are gentle on skin) and other ingredients like oatmeal for exfoliation and addition benefits!
That's the end of my list. Have you heard of using milk for facial? What other ways do you use milk?
Can you replace milk powder with milk? Just asking because it's available right in my fridge...
@iluvdurian31 I think for the milk facial mask it can be a little difficult with milk powder...BUT you can soak cotton pads in milk and use it on your face. That's what I do when after coming back from soaking in the sun. :)
great suggestions..will try some
I don't normally buy dairy milk, but I might just so I can take this milk bath. I love really therapeutic bath water. I usually just use green tea bags.
