The build up to the MLS season continues with a look back at some of the US's most memorable moments on the world stage.
In 2010, the US was matched in a tough group that included England and the African nation of Algeria. Algeria struck the post early before Dempsey would himself as well prior to the American having a goal wrongfully ruled offsides. As time ticked away a 0-0 draw loomed as the result, one that would eliminate the US despite drawing their opening two matches. A win would put the US into the last 16 as the group winners over favoured England. Then, with the US pressing, Donovan cleaned up the loose ball with a cool finish and the US were headed into the knockout stage yet again.

@CitySarajevo I remember being at home and my dad went outside he couldn't bear to watch. Then he came in when I erupted from the couch.
