PETA Creates a Memorial Video Tribute for Sam Simon, 'Simpsons' Creator
Sam Simon, famous animal rights activist and creator of "The Simpsons", died today after a long and very public battle with colorectal cancer. Upon learning of his terminal illness, Sam donated pretty much all of his earnings to various charities, including PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). He donated so much, in fact, that PETA named the building of their Norfolk, Virginia headquarters after him.
A couple hours ago, PETA posted this video tribute to Sam that captured his visit to Norfolk to commemorate the building. His speech, which dealt heavily with both his illness and his hope for animal well-being, was completely inspiring. I am sure that I am not the only one who hopes his many predictions about the later generations come true.

Sad to hear, but he certainly left a great mark on the earth while he was with us!
