Every time I step into Lush the whole store smells really organic, herby and aromatic. My daughter got me a facial cleanser (Angels on Bare Skin) for Christmas and I grew to love the texture and result it gave my skin. First of all, it smells like lavender and the texture looks and feels like a crumbled dough. However, once you sprinkle water on it becomes a paste-like scrub. I ran out of my container last week and while I would love to purchase it in store I wanted to try making it on my own. I found a copy-cat version that works just as fine, so here you go!

25g Ground Almonds
20g Kaolin Clay
13g Vegetable Glycerine
25 drops Rose Water
1/4 tsp Lavender buds
4 drops Lavender essential oil
3 drops Rose Geranium essential oil

Place all the ingredients (except 1/8 tsp of the lavender buds) in a bowl and mix. Pour the the mixture onto a sheet of grease-proof paper and squish it into a ball. Flatten the ball and then sprinkle on the remaining lavender buds. Roll it up and store it a water-tight container with a fitted lid. There are no preservatives in this recipe but due to its low water content it will keep for up to three months.
Angels on bare skin and herbalism is my favorite LUSH cleanser. My skin feels baby soft after each use.
I've dried Angels on Bare Skin and Dark Angels. I didn't really like the texture of this particular one because it leaves a greasy residue but that's just me. However, I love using Dark Angeles because it really exfoliate my skin leaving it breathable. Just a suggestion, don't use it more than twice a week.
