I don't know about you, but music taste is a serious factor when it comes to me making friends let alone falling in love. If you really want me to fall head over heels, I need a groovy song and dance number. It needs to be a big deal and I want glitter and choreography and high notes. Like I want you to be so embarrassed that I'M embarrassed.
That being said, here is a quick guide on how to choose what musical love confession to make, be it for summer romance or to finally get the girl/guy!

So you're in a really lucky situation if this song applies to you. Duets are the best because that means the feelings are mutual - so you have nothing to lose! Go grab some hair gel, some leather pants, and a group of friends to act as the chorus.

10 Things I Hate About You

Alright so maybe the feelings aren't mutual, or your crush is too shy to tease their hair Grease-style. You have to take the initiative and sing by yourself. Bonus points if you avoid being arrested.

Dirty Dancing

So what happens if you can't sing? I'm talking about off-tune nails-on-a-chalkboard vocals. Easy solution! You can dance! Grab your significant other and spin them around the room. Just try not to step on any toes or drop your partner at the big final move!

Say Anything

You're kidding me right? You can't sing, you can't dance, and you probably don't know karate either (please GOD someone get my reference) Luckily, technology is on your side for this one. Be less creepy than Lloyd Dobbler and just burn your lover a playlist, send them music recommendations, or invite them to a concert!

The Little Mermaid

You're tough to please, but we can still make this work. So no singing, dancing, or playing music for your crush. We're just going to have to round up your talking animal friends and set the mood for you.
Now's your moment, floating in a blue lagoon.
Just put me in Dirty Dancing, please!!! :D
I would totally want the Grease moment! OR the 10 things I hate about you moment, but I don't want to have to be angry so that he has to make it up to me, hahaha!! @redridergirl Bodyguard!!! I totally forgot about that. Must go watch again.
I have to vote in this order: Say Anything because I loved that song and movie and John Cusack! Was that a Adam Ant reference by the way as in "Don't smoke don't what do you do?" Or did I get the answer wrong?,Second choice Grease! How hot is that to have someone declaring his love so strongly and you too? Caliente! Not to mention John Travolta was sexy in his younger days! Now he seems to have gone oddball. Third who would dare let Dirty Dancing slip by them much less Patrick Swayze? It's a sweeter, little slower, couples beat that is just classic romance which most people crave right? Fourth but not listed I would feel the heart pounding of Whitney Houston with Kevin Costner in Bodyguard singing I Will Always Love You. Gives me chills still thinking of her voice when she sang it in the movie. Who wouldn't want a greatvoice singing to them? But no one would want to end their relationship and have the heartache they did though some of us have had it. But you just know theirs is a Romeo and Juliet love without the specific ending.
