Meet the Tokyo Beatles.
The Beatles were obviously huge everywhere. They exploded onto the pop scene in the 60s and changed pop culture as we know it. Unfortunately for the fanatic Japanese Beatles lovers, the groups didn't make it to Japan until 1966. In order to fill that gap, a tribute band named the Tokyo Beatles began to make their rounds of the Tokyo clubs.
The band was made up of talented musicians singing Beatles songs in a mixture of English and Japanese. They had the look down as fat as the iconic hair cuts, but their wardrobes were often a little wilder (covered in paint, ripped up, etc)
The Tokyo Beatles released one album, also called Please, Please Me after the first Beatles album. They quietly disbanded sometime in the mid-sixties.
