The only reason why you put on eye makeup is to make your eyes look brighter and wider! While a smokey eye can give you the dramatic look it's not ideal for everyday wear. Follow the tips below to enhance your eyes while appearing natural!
We all know the benefits of highlighting and contouring! Well, not only does this trick work for you cheekbones it does wonder to your eyes as well. Shade in a high crease (using a charcoal brown shadow) right beneath your brow bone and draw it out beyond the end of your eyes.
A dark black liner may make your eyes pop but shading is a better technique to get a natural big eye! Tip: Choose a shadow that matches your brow color.
Give your brow a high arch (but not to the point you look intimidating). When filling in your brows, try drawing in above the brow on the arch. This makes an eye opening effect and bring the attention right where you want it.
This technique is a more natural approach to grow your eyeball area without being bright and drawing attention to the actual line. To achieve this look, use a light (white or cream) colored pencil to fill in your waterline.
Finally, fill in your lower lashes with falsies. It takes time and practice to do this but it makes a huge difference!
I think a brownish shade will look best if you're going for au naturale.
Do you suggest a specific shadow color or any dark shade will do?
The first image comparing eyeliner and shadow shows a dramatic difference.
@cindystran You should try 3D fiber mascara if you don't have the patience to put on fake lashes. It saves time and application is super easy :) https://www.youniqueproducts.com/ChocolateKouture/products/view/US-1017-00#.VQiI1Nm9LCQ
I need to try this. My eyes are so small.
