QPR’s director of football Les Ferdinand has been charged with improper conduct after the FA found he had used “abusive and/or insulting words and/or behavior towards a match official”.
This is the same exact charge that was brought against West Brom’s Chris Brunt on Monday and I’m surprised to see the FA clamping down on this without giving away many details. It was said the comments were made in the tunnel after the game, one which saw two penalty appeals turned down by the referee.
Not sure what the punishment bar a fine would be for the director of football, but it’s just another incident that’s marring the push for survival this season for the Hoops. Ferdinand has until 14:00 on Friday to respond to the charge.
