The FA have finally ruled on Carlton Cole’s tweet reply to a Tottenham supported who tweeted him, mocking the 31 year old striker about being injured in West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Spurs last month. The striker has also been warned, but the panel has decided not to ban the longtime Hammer given the nature of the original tweet.
Decent decision by the board but this is essentially why fans think they can be invincible at times, with the original poster not receiving any punishment for such a taunt. Needs to be more of a two way street as far as I’m concerned.
West Ham’s next game is away to Arsenal on Saturday.
