I thought it was impressive to simply be able to drive one's self around town past the age of 90, but a man is here to completely turn my idea of old age on its head.
Charles Eugster, 95, set a world record in the 200-meter dash for his 95+ age group, completing the 1/8-mile distance in 55.48 seconds.
What’s more impressive, though, is that the retired dentist didn’t start exercising until the age of 85. At 87 he began bodybuilding, to boost his strength, proving it’s really never too late to get fit.
“I want to change the world, you see,” Eugster told Sportsvibe, a British sports news web site. “I want to make old age something wonderful, stupendous, glorious, fantastic, superb, interesting, exciting. I want to make old age the best part of one’s life.”
Me one day!
My grammy is 87 and still swims at the gym every day :)
He runs faster than I do!
"Wonderful, stupendous, glorious." Something I hope to be one day!
This is actually awesome, I hope I can still be this active when I'm that age!
