The Publico Newspaper had come up with a marketing ploy to use Angry Birds to wreck buildings in Lisbon in order to raise interest and sales for print publication. Low on funds and with no budget for advertising, the Publico thought that it would be creative to place images of Angry Birds taking down structures and buildings since there are many structures in Lisbon that are broken down or dilapidated. These photos were made into stickers and handed out in a booklet to people on the streets. Not only did it display a quirky side to the newspaper, but it also expanded the clientele and readership audience by catering to a younger crowd.
