High Speed Rally Car Racing in Mexico
The first gravel-based event of the FIA World Rally Championship season made for an intense showing of high speed rallying. Multiple crashes and some seriously close calls from the loose ground left drivers hanging on as they endeavored to navigate the roads of Guanajuato.
After taking a high speed turn on a loose gravel road in Guanajuato, Mexico, Rally driver Ott Tanak and his co-pilot Raigo Molder flipped their car over a bank and crashed dramatically into a body of water. They narrowly escaped the vehicle before it sank entirely to the bottom. EVERYONE walked away from the crash SAFELY.
As for the car...not so much.
