Former Rangers, Zenit St. Petersburg, PSV Eindhoven, and Netherlands boss Dick Advocaat has been appointed as the new Sunderland boss just a day after the board announced the sacking of Gus Poyet.

Advocaat led Rangers to two Scottish Premiership and Cup doubles, while also winning the league titles with PSV Eindhoven in the Netherlands and Zenit St. Petersburg in Russia. Advocaat also led Rangers to the Europa League final (then called the UEFA Cup) before winning it with Zenit against his old club, as well as the UEFA Super Cup the year after.
Advocaat has his work cut out for him with the Black Cats just 1 point above the drop with 9 left to play. Sunderland travel to West Ham this weekend.

@GermanBumbleBee They have to play out of their skin though. The win against City more poaching on a club not in form. True test will come in the coming weeks.
@Spudsy2061 Can imagine if Burnley steal another win against the top half they'll kick Sunderland down.
@GermanBumbleBee Very true but they lack a quality striker. Defoe is nice but he struggled in the MLS last season after a hot start. He's not their answer or their saviour.
@CitySarajevo You never know. New managers tend to have a knack for swift change.
Don't think he'll be any good.
