Sunderland made the decision yesterday to reinstate winger Adam Johnson after his suspension from all football related activities pending an ongoing criminal investigation against him for having sex with an underage girl. The local police had arrested Johnson and question him, before setting and extending his bail.

Sunderland have declined to comment any further on the decision, and the local authorities have stated that they were made aware of the decision by Sunderland before the club made the announcement and that it is an issue only between the player and club.

Johnson will be available for selection in this weekend’s game against West Ham.

He's probably just going to train. Would be disgusting if he plays.
@GermanBumbleBee I hope that's the case. Him playing would not put a good image on for football as a whole.
