Hull City’s survival hopes took a big blow as news broke that striker Nikica Jelavic is going to be out six weeks after knee surgery. Jelavic, despite missing a number of games already, is Hull City’s top scorer this campaign with eight goals.

Hull only sit three points above the relegation sports with games against Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United at home still to play while also having to travel to White Hart Lane near season’s end. It is likely the striker will be out for the games against Chelsea, Swansea, Southampton, Liverpool, and Crystal Palace before returning for the final 4 games of the season.

Yet Hull still scored 2 against Chelsea.

@CitySarajevo @GermanBumbleBee Well they almost pulled out a point which would have been huge for everyone. City, Hull, Chelsea, Arsenal.
