Apparently Drew Barrymore just got back to the States after a short trip to Tokyo, Japan, where she did what I probably would do if I were in Tokyo, Japan - eat lots and lots and lots of food!
Drew and her husband Will Kopelman seemed to visit a pretty varied list of foodie destinations, all the while taking some Instagram selfies worth being a little jealous (and a lot hungry) over.
Let's check them out, shall we?

"Good Morning, Tokyo!"

Drew starts off her Japanese foodie adventures with a traditional breakfast spread. (A typical Japanese breakfast consists of an assortment of fresh sashimi, fruit, white rice, juice, vegetables, and soups!)

"We dream of sushi with Jiro and Yoshikazu. Dream come true!"

Next up on their stop was a very special sushi dinner prepared by world-renowned sushi spot, Sukiyabashi Jiro. The owner, Jiro Ono, is perhaps most famous as the star of the documentary, "Jiro Dreams of Sushi". His sushi is believed to be one of the best in Japan!

"Why not?"

Okay, so Krispy Kreme is an American doughnut shop, but it seriously seems to pale in comparison to Krispy Kreme's Japanese locations. Check out the designs on these doughnuts! I don't blame you, Drew. I don't blame you at all.

"A prayer for my girls."

Drew took a moment's food break to head over to a local shrine to leave a special prayer for her two daughters, Olive and Frankie. Aww.

"Street Ramen breakfast 7am"

Drew makes an obligatory trip to get some Japanese ramen from a street vendor - at 7 in the morning. I appreciate her commitment to noodles, and I'm right there with her. (Have any of you that traveled to Japan gotten street ramen before? I love the idea of this!)

"Robatayaki everyone!"

Drew takes the ultimate selfie in front of a huge robatayaki table. Robatayaki is also known as Japanese table-side grilling. If Drew's face is any indicator, it looks like a pretty good meal!

"I love ice tea and Tokyo does it right. Vending machine on every corner!

Drew stops off at one of Japan's famous vending machines, filled with coffees, teas, juices, and milks. Personally, I'm eyeing those green teas in the bottom right corner. What would you guys get?

Drew falls in love with a bowl of soup noodles, which I'm assuming happens to most people when they're traveling through Japan. (I love this picture. Take that bite, girl.)

"Sayonara! Goodbye Tokyo. Thank you!!!! #swollen"

Drew ends her vacation with a wonderful farewell shot of a Tokyo intersection. (And by the looks of her hashtag, she's extremely full.) I've never been to Japan before, but seeing Drew's Instagram photos makes me really want to go!
How about you guys? Have any of you visited Japan before? What were your favorite Japanese foods? Where should Drew have gone?

@WiviDemol YEAH! I saw it on a TV show! You can make your own instant ramen with whatever you want in it and then they reseal it so you can eat it later. Have you been to the Hogwarts place in Florida yet?
@WiviDemo1 Make your own noodles?! You can do that there? That sounds awesome! I know I want to visit the different ramen museums.
