Depending on whether we like someone or not, we have a tendency to, well, stereotype whether the person is a total creeper, or just super romantic! Which, now that I think about it, is totally hypocritical.
Even today, someone on the street started talking to me, and I wasn't feeling it so I thought it was creepy! But, if I had been more attracted to him, maybe I would have been fine with it?! I'm not even sure! This guy wouldn't stop talking, though, even when I clearly wasn't feeling it, so I think it was on the c-r-e-e-p-y scale!!! I think it comes down to this: people should be able to judge when the recipient of your "romantic" actions are being felt as creepy, and when they're being received well! If you start to think it's getting weird, just say "hey, am I being too weird? Sorry!" and poof! all awkwardness should be relieved.
@fallingwater A fair point. One cannot fault one for trying I suppose.
@Spudsy2061 I feel like it comes down to basically whether or not that person thinks your idea of romantic is weird or not.....because if they do they're probably just not the one for you!!
I was all like: Awwwwwwwwww until the very very end and I was like: YO WHAAAAAAAAA? It is true though a lot of time romantic gestures are taken as creepy. I don't know is saying you're being to weird is the answer though. In person I feel that can make things even more awkward sometimes .><
