Liverpool’s Martin Skrtel has been charged after it appeared he stamped one Manchester United keeper David De Gea’s leg right before the fulltime whistle. Skrtel does have time to appeal but if banned he is set to miss Liverpool’s next three games which include trips to Arsenal in the Premier League, Blackburn in their FA Cup 6th Round Replay, and at home to Newcastle in the Premier League as well (although not in that order).

Longtime Reds captain Steven Gerrard is also set to miss the same number of games after he was sent off 36 seconds after coming on as a substitute in Liverpool’s 2-1 loss Sunday at home to Manchester United.

Didn't think it was on purpose.
@CitySarajevo Was still a pretty vicious stamp.
@CitySarajevo It was an uncalled for stamp in all honesty.
