Hubble, which we have to thank for so many amazing insights into the composition of space, was launched 25 years ago this April!
Thanks to Hubble, we have seen how colorful and huge the universe is. We've seen newborn stars. We've seen interstellar dust. We've seen galaxies, whose light would take billions of years to reach us!

So, let's take a quick look at some of the most beautiful photos Hubble has given us. Swipe through them here :)

Hubble won't last forever, though. The final servicing mission was carried out on it in 2009, and was expected to help it last through 2014. That deadline has passed, and eventually we won't be able to control it anymore. At that time, it will drift around earth until sometime between 2030 and 2040, at which time it will fall into the atmosphere and burn up! Still, Hubble has proven that it is worth the investment of time and money that we have been through to run this kind of space telescope! Hopefully, we'll get to see even more exciting projects (like JWST!!)

It's miraculous to consider that this was created long before it was sent into space...25 years ago. I'd love to see tours to and on the moon. I also heard a theory that we are not just spinning, but also spiraling. I don't know the details. But it was interesting.
