Tragic news broke today of flight 4U 9525, which was due to fly from Barcelona to Duesseldorf, having crashed in the French Alps killing all 150 people on board. The airplane went down without sending out a distress signal and is reported to have lost altitude very quickly. Officials were quick to deny the idea of any terrorist doings as well and at this time the black boxes have been recovered.
The carrier, Germanwings, is a low cost airline owned by Germany's main airline Lufthansa. They are said to have an excellent safety record and the weather during the flight was reported to have been good.
There are no other details as to what could have cause the crash at this time and the investigation is still on going.
