Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simone, who led his club to the La Liga title and Champions League final last year, has signed a new contract extension to keep him at the club until the end of the 2019-2020 season. Simone has also led the club to the 2012 Europa League title since joining the Spanish side in 2011.

This puts an end to a little bit of speculation that we was to hop ship to the Premier League with clubs like Manchester City, Newcastle United and West Ham United linked with interest in him.
Atletico face their opponents from last year’s final and arch rivals Real Madrid in their Champions League Quarterfinal clash next month.

@CitySarajevo Not in La Liga but Atletico could hit their stride at just the right time.

@GermanBumbleBee He's done incredible work at Atletico.
He's turned into a good manager.
