Growing up, I was a huge fan of "X-Men: The Animated Series" with just about every single other kid that lived on my block. Everyone was obsessed with Wolverine, Gambit, and Cyclops, but personally, Jubilee was my favorite X-Man of the entire series. First off, she was young and stylish with a cool punk attitude. Secondly, her mutation was that she could shoot fireworks out of her hands. (How cool is that?!) I can only imagine Jubilee growing up to be the best TGIFriday's waitress of all time. ("We've got a birthday in the house! PEW PEW PEW PEW!")
But I digress.
'X-Men' franchise filmmaker Bryan Singer has officially announced that not only will Jubilee be a part of the new X-Men film, "X-Men: Apocalypse", but the role is going to be played by 18-year-old newcomer actress Lana Condor.
The idea of using a newcomer is completely awesome, especially since I think Marvel movies thus far haven't been doing the greatest job at hiring lesser-knowns and keep recycling famous face after famous face.
What do you guys thing? Does Lana look like a good fit for Jubilee?
In any case, I'm so excited to check out "X-Men: Apocalypse" when it finally comes out, and I know I'm not the only one!
