[10th-Apr-15] Match Preview: FC Dallas – Colorado Rapids
FC Dallas will be without keeper Dan Kennedy, who is suffering from back spasms, while the status of Coy Craft, Stephen Keel, and midfielder Mauro Diaz remains uncertain. Colorado will be without midfield pair Carlos Alvarez and Sam Cronin, while defender Marc Burch is also out with a rib injury. Defender Drew Moor is a game-time decision, but Axle Sjoberg resumed to full training this week and could be available for selection.
FC Dallas are coming off their 1st loss of the season, a 3-1 defeat to Portland last weekend but Dallas do sit on a three game win streak against Colorado. The Rapids have also lost the last 4 games at Toyota Stadium between the two sides. Colorado are on an 18 game winless streak that stretches into last season, tying a MLS all-time record originally held by the 2005-2006 Real Salt Lake squads. Colorado has not scored in their last 600 minutes, or 10 hours, of competitive football, needing only 24 minutes of the game from breaking the MLS record for a scoreless streak. Despite this Colorado have just 1 loss on the season, having started undefeated by drawing the opening 3 games this year before their 2-0 loss to New England last weekend.
Prediction: Colorado are just a poor side at the moment and I can’t see them getting anything against one of the top teams in the West. They should snap the scoreless streak however.
