Organize Your Closet (Part 1)
Do you spend too much time figuring out what to wear in the morning and where is everything? It's time to give your closet a makeover and find a system that will simplify your life. If you don't know where to start this series will guide you through organizing your closet. Part one will focus on the basics. Read on if you're ready to start!

1. Clean Your Entire Closet

Take everything out and separate them in different category piles in your room.
Keep: Clothes that you'll be wearing a lot this season.
Store: Clothes that are not in season.
Donate: Clothes you haven't worn in the last year and is taking up the closet space.

2. Find Your System

What to hang:
Dresses, Trousers, Skirts, Shirts, Suits, coats, and jackets.
What to fold:
Knitwear, t-shirts, loungewear, and denim.
Storage Tip: Place out-of-season garments in boxes and keep them on the top shelves or under the bed.

3. Organization Rule

If you have a small closet choose one of the following to organize your clothes. If you have a big clothes you can use both rules on different racks.
By Color:
If you have a lot of color you can organize them by the color s
By Item:
Start by one item of clothing at a time (e.g. shirts, dress then jackets)

4. Storing in the Drawers

How to Layer:
Keep your favorite, most worn clothes in your closet's prime area. Store your lesser-used items below.
Use Drawer Dividers
This will help keep things even neater. Keep hosiery and socks manageable by folding them together.

I've been organizing my wardrobe by color and it has saved me so much time in choosing what to wear. Plus, it makes my closet look clean.
